N'Zogbia Sunderland bound?
Sunderland have been linked with numerous players over this window, and us fans secretly hope it is not the end! I doubt it is!
For days now, I have been browsing the net hoping to find some tasty gossip, the likes of 606 + the SMB forums. Alas, the only 3 players I see is Mensah, James and Heskey. These three players are, in my opinion, decent.
James -- will prove valuable cover for Gordon's broken arm
Mensah -- best CB since Jonny Evans
Heskey -- I know he has his doubters, but as COVER + competition for Jones, he could be alright!
Now, I have been crying out for a LB + a creative winger/midfielder...on the LB front, we could have a choice of 4 I think (Taiwo; Salcido; Riise; Aurelio) but it seems Bruce is happy with Richardson in that position, and if that's the case - then fair enough.
We were consistently linked with Ireland, I was praying this came off, but his wages are in the excess of £80,000 per week, which is just too much so Brucie, rightly, left him alone...N'Zogbia is another we have been linked with.
When i first heard about N'zogbia rumours, I thought 'yeah, not bad, but it's a rumour, nothing more' but it's turned out Brucie has concrete interest in N'Zogbia, and now it seems it could well come off. Charles has been left out of Wigan's squad for their latest friendly, and in their previous friendly...Martinez said that he will give "everybody a run-out" but left N'zogbia on the bench...Reports from Wigan fans come that N'zog, in his last appearance, 'didn't look 'bothered'.
So, is he Sunderland bound? I certainly hope so...a midfielder who can cross the ball well! Jones will love him!
